Why KDC

I joined KDC as a Project Coordinator with no prior construction experience, making a complete career shift. Three years later, I can confidently say it was the best decision I've ever made. Through KDC's support and opportunities, I pursued a construction program at San Diego State University and have grown into my current role as a Project Engineer, working toward my goal of becoming a Project Manager. I truly love this company and am grateful for the career path it has helped me build.

Over the years at KDC, my skills have grown far beyond where I started, shaping me into the professional I am today. I’m excited to contribute to KDC’s lasting legacy.

KDC is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit. KDC wants to have the best available persons in every job. KDC is committed to compliance with all applicable laws providing equal employment opportunities. This commitment applies to all persons involved in KDC operations and prohibits unlawful discrimination by any employee of the company.

Every time we are awarded a project that I coordinated on, I feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. Or when we pass a building KDC built, I tell my family, "the company I work for built that." It's cool to see the physical fruits of all the labor behind the scenes that got it all started. My favorite thing about KDC is that the employees are all like family. We all support each other through personal milestones, both good and bad. We jump in when one of us is overwhelmed and we always get along. KDC is full of funny, caring, and selfless people.
